Changing Times

No more clouds in the morning
It was way back in history
When I was so young
When I worshiped the sunrise
And the gold web it spun.
When the mist turned to dewdrops
On the leaves
They would cling
When the birds of all manner
Sang each song they could sing.
How I wish for some magic
Just to turn back the time
I would conquer all mountains
There’d be no hills left to climb.
The mountains of course
Were the problems in life
The longer left unattended
The greater the strife.
So with each new beginning
Of a glorious day
Climb to the top of the mountains
Then start on your way.
Some day I am sure
I’ll see that sunrise again
When the problems I’m facing
Stop causing me pain.
Then I’ll sing with great joy,
Wear a smile on my face,
No more clouds in the morning
Not at my place.
