Insanity
Once upon a time
Before the world had gone insane
Children played in April showers
Now we hide from acid rain.
A man was safe to walk the streets
With his family by his side
Now we need to run the gauntlet
And find a place to hide.
Can you remember long ago,
Playing outside in the dark
Your mum and dad would always say
Go play down at the park.
Those days have gone so long ago
And it makes me feel quite sad
Don’t walk the streets at night alone
Unless you’re mean and bad.
Once upon a time
Before the world had gone insane
The bible said to help thy neighbour
Not to hurt and cause him pain
Your neighbor is the man next door
Or the one across the border
But the politicians don’t see that
As they fix a new world order.
