Uploaded by msnarayana on Oct 15, 2012

For Hindus’ Deepavali is one of the main festivals. “Aavali” means varusa. Deepavali means “Deepamula varusa.” Deepavali festival comes every year on Aswayuja Bahula Amavasya. Before day of the festival, they call as Naraka Chaturth Dasi. On Deepavali there is no stop for happiness of the children. Some days before they will prepare deepavali things like crackers, vala etc….On the day of festival the people will pour oil in pramidulu, keep line and lit them. By seeing those deepamulu they will be very grand. Children will fire crackers and mathabulu. For celebrating this festival there was a story. Before one devil named Narakasudu use to live. He is very bad demon. He used to hurt people. People can’t bear this sadness and they worshipped Lord Sri Krishna to help them. Lord Krishna with the help of Goddess Satyabama they killed Narakasudu on Aswayuja Krishna Pakshi-Chaturth Dasi. For killing the demon Goddess Satyabama helped. For killing the demon on Chaturth Dasi they call it as Naraka Chaturth Dasi. People were happily they will celebrate this festival. Before this day they do head bath and prepare dishes made with flour not like chapatti, puri etc….After that day they celebrate deepavali. On no moon night they will light the deepamulu. On that day Hindus will do Lakshmi Puja. They will open new shops and book. They will ask for their intrest. This festival is meant of so much of money. For vala they are spending a lot of money. For protection of India they are wasting the money. In India so many are without food. Rich people are wasting for vala if they use for poor people it would be nice. For lighting these we are wasting money also we are doing some good. When we light them the smoke which comes out and kills all insects and micro organisms by this way we are being healthy. We should be careful while lighting these things like keep a bucket of water, wear chapels and light, don’t
light with hand, light with help of elders like parents and grandparents. Keep some distance from the light thing before lighting it. Be safe.
