Gods and Goddesses of Ancient Egypt Final Draft
Have you ever wondered why the Ancient Egyptians had so many
gods and goddesses?The Egyptian saw a godly nature in everything.
Because of this, they created a multitude of gods and goddesses. In fact
there were hundreds of gods and goddesses, each playing their own role
in the universe.These holy beings were worshiped with the hope that
their life would be blessed by the gods. Ancient Egyptians had an
extremely complex view of life and after-life which explained the nature
of the world.
Anubis was one of the gods that judged if a person live on in the
afterlife or dies forever depending on their good deeds. Anubis was the
god of mummification. Anubis had the head of a jackal, the jackal is an
animal similar to a dog or a wolf. Anubis’s parents were Nepthys and
Osiris. Anubis ensured at all Egyptians would not have a balanced life.
Osiris is the god that watches over Egypt and the underworld.
Osiris is the god of Earth and the underworld. Osiris is married to his
sister Isis which is a queen and goddess.Osiris symbolizes the early
drought that happens yearly, the Egyptians believed that the floods they
got each year what is a gift from Osiris.All in all Osiris is a very
important God to the Egyptians because of his power to make floods.
Isis is a queen and also a goddess that helped out and had an
awesome personality. I said what I said would feed the Pharaohs when
they were hungry. It is I'm sure, but Isis is possibly one of the judges of
the dead. Isis has great magic powers, she used her magic powers to help
with good deeds. All of the Isis is a helpful goddesses with great deeds.
All I know is that the Egyptians found divinity and everything
from birth to death. These gods and goddesses existed to provide people
with everyday events. the belief in these holy beings led to the Deep
respect for these beings. These Gods worshipped prayers and offerings.
Egyptian mythology helps us to understand how they once believe how
the world worked
