Hijaab

Uploaded by love786 on May 09, 2006

I dedicate this pome to all my muslim sisters and hope thsi does not hurt anyone. i live through this everyday, and ask why i wear and for whom. the really question is that does it really matter to you if i wear it and if so just think of it has it was just ment to be. I rather be cover up than be walkign like an naked girl and knowing how many guys will look at me, or at my skin. But once a girl started to date her guy will tell her to wear this and that, than the girl start to think that she is capture by her boyfriend but the true is she has aguy and her guy don't want any guy to see her as he does. he want his girl to been seen as she belong to someone and not to be judge by how she dress but proud of her man that he like her to dress cover up.

Hihaab

You look at me an call me oppressed,
Simply because of the way I'm dressed,

You know me not for what is inside,
You judge the clothign I wear with pride,

My body is not for your eyes to hold,
You must speak to my mind, not my feminine mould,

I'm an individual. I'm no man's slave,
It's Allah's pleasure that I only crave,

I have a voice so I will be heard,
For in my heart I carry His word,

"O ye women, wrap close your cloak,
So you won't be bothered by ignorant folk."

Man doesn't tell me to dress thsi wa,
It's law from God that I obey,

Oppressed is somethign I'm truly not,
For liberation is what I've got,

It was given to me many year ago,
With the right to prosper, the right to grow,

I can climb mountains or cross the seas,
Expand my mind in all degrees,

For God Himself gave us liberty,
When He sent Islam, to you and me!
