Is Earth hard like a rock

I do believe that the Earth is hard like a rock, and I still think that is due to Earth’s crust being made of rocks and rock-like materials, the Earth being a inner planet, and the Earth’s layers. These three can be shown as evidence to support my claim of it being as hard as a rock in several different aspects. First is the crust, which is made from hard metals and rocks. Next is being an inner planet, which is made out of rocks unlike the outer planet. Last is the Earth’s layers, and their materials.
The Earth’s crust is the thinnest layer of all of the layers. It is from 8-70 km deep (5-43 mi). On National Geographic Kids, Structure of the Earth, it says “Oceanic crust made up of iron, oxygen, silicon, magnesium and aluminium.”. These are strong materials making up it’s surface, meaning it has to be hard. Next factor is the Earth’s placement in the Solar System. The four planets that are relatively closer to the sun are made up of hard rocks, and are known as the inner planets. Earth, along with Mercury, Venus, and Mars, are those planets. This shows that the Earth is still very hard. In Universe Today, The Inner and Outer Planets in our Solar System, it says “The four inner planets are called terrestrial planets because their surfaces are solid” and “They’re made up mostly of heavy metals such as iron and nickel.” This shows that they are made of rock-like materials.
Lastly is the Earth’s layers. According to my notes, the mantle recycles rocks and other hard materials to create magma/lava. This shows us that much of the Earth is formed from hard materials that feel like or are as hard as rocks. To conclude, these major factors play a role in solving the question of whether the Earth is hard like a rock.
