Title-Strategic Deployment of E-Marketing techniques for importing Bio Plastic from China to United Kingdom.
1.1 Abstract:
The E-Marketing is being used globally in businesses and has become a necessary component of it. Although E-Marketing is not new in the UK but the Bio-plastic industry has not fully implemented it. E-Marketing strategies if combined with business strategy can help in building a sustainable competitive advantage in the market. The idea of making a web site is that it offers a convenient mode of shopping online and the customer gets to choose from a diverse range of products and services as opposed to the similar physical shopping experience. At the same time online retailers get to expose and sell their products to a global audience through their e-stores. The E-Marketing industry plays a vital role in its growth and development which is growing by leaps and bounds. The customer or user is usually provided with detailed information and description of the product which helps them in making a thoughtful choice before purchasing online. Online retailing, also known as e-tailing, makes it easy for the manufacturer to sell directly to the consumer without the middle man (Turban et al, 2006). E-Marketing provides sellers a mechanism to widen their market to sell the products with more profits by reducing expenses as it takes out the need of staff, physical store and catalogs to distribute.
Bio-plastic is one of the best alternatives to replace plastic which is manufactured from crude oil. Bio-plastic is not harmful for environment and is made up of hump oil or soy bean which are renewable source of energy. It is expected that an efficient E-Marketing application would not only help the Bio-plastic business in generating more revenues, furthermore, it will automate many day to day offline activities as well. This would in turn help the suppliers efficiently manage their growing business.
From my, study of master’s degree in Marketing, point of view this project would help me to gain some valuable experience which one cannot get in classroom study. In this proposal I have tried to look upon how an E-Marketing venture would be developed by understanding different links attached to it. This can enhance my technical knowledge. It will help to explore various aspects of an entire business process, the barriers (legal, financial), and the benefits of interstate trade.
