War on Terrorism and Importance of Correctional Facilities
The War on Terrorism and Importance of Correctional Facilities
Corrections plays a big role in the war on terrorism, to the effect that corrections has done and is doing all that can be done to stop terrorist attacks. They have taken extreme measures and precautions to try and make sure something like this does not happen again.
Correctional agencies can do something to control/combat terrorism, for instance they can receive or get special training to get prepared for something like this or they can or should always protect themselves. I think that correctional agencies who work in this area of work such as terrorism and those who don’t I think that they should join forces with other governmental teams and agencies and come up with a plan on how to look for signs, suspicious people, plan how to stop it before it gets started. Correctional agencies are very well trained in most areas that deal with terrorism because most of them work in jails and prison and that have to get trained to work with different types of situations, because most correctional agencies deal with riots, and inmate take over in prison and this type of work helps them to get prepared for terrorist attacks.
As I read the Pittsburgh-Post Gazette, there are two full pages on the war on terror. I read one article where they talk about captured Taliban soldiers overpowered their guards and that hundreds of people were killed. As I read on I seen another article that read “Marines enter bin Laden hunt”. I see that this is when the Correctional agency should step in and help and try to put and end to all these killings.
