Uploaded by : Essays-Now.com

This 6 page paper examines the theory put forth by the Chicago School sociologists that all urban areas assimilated their immigrant populations in the same way. That is, that different racial and ethnic groups would have virtually identical experiences no matter where they went. The writer evaluates this theory by comparing the experiences of 20th century urbanization for Asians, Latinos, Blacks and Mexican-Americans. There are 2 sources listed in the bibliography.
