Diversity Hiring and Affirmative Action in the Law Enforcement Profession

In this paper consisting of twenty five pages there is first an historical examination of the U.S. Affirmative Action program in terms of law and intent, then the concept of diversity hiring is explored in greater detail with differences between that and affirmative action outline and then the issue of diversity hiring within law enforcement agencies with the emphasis on police departments are discussed in terms of strategies and current efforts.
