In a paper consisting of five pages the impact of the ancient empires of Greece and Rome on Western civilization is considered in terms of evolution. Egypt and Mesopotamia exerted considerable influence on those ancient civilizations so they in turn had the same effect on the West. Four sources are cited in the bibliography.
