Contemporary companies are caught between two harsh realities: skyrocketing operating costs and significant job loss. Being that profit margins are the fundamental principles for keeping any business afloat, it comes as no surprise how organizations opt for cutting the workforce, a decision that heaves an extra load onto the shoulders of those whose jobs were spared. Sometimes a staff is cut to little more than a skeleton crew when workloads are just as heavy, creating stress, anxiety and pressure for the employees expected to carry the burden.
