Child abuse - both corporeal and emotional - represents the majority of maltreatment children experience, however, they can also endure the same kind of mental and physiological effects when they are unable to meet the fundamental needs inherent to every human being. Learned behaviors begin with infancy and move through each subsequent developmental stage if they are not recognized and corrected; babies who fail to bond with their mother - or another primary caregiver in the absence of the biological mother - and do not engage within a supportive, nurturing relationship from the start acquire an unattached mentality that grows exponentially into antisocial behavior that can make him both violent and wholly detached from society.
