Managing Student Behavior

Teachers face many inappropriate behaviors in their classrooms daily. This paper begins by reporting some of those behaviors and some possible reasons. Three specific classroom behavior management theories are discussed: transactional/ego states by Berne, assertive discipline by the Cantors and the ABC chart model. The models are applied to a scenario about a girl seeking attention. The paper emphasizes the United Kingdom. There are ten sources listed in the bibliography of this eleven page paper.
