The homeless population in the UK suffer a high level of inequality in terms of quality and access to healthcare services. The paper reviews the problem, the way policies have developed to deal with the problem and why they have failed to result in any significant improvements. The role of different actors in delivering the services under the Health and Social Care Act 2012 are considered and the wider policy implications are also discussed.
