Second Council Changes Theology of Church

The Second Vatican Council was announced by Pope John XXIII in January 1959. Meetings began in 1962. This was about 60 years after Vatican Council I, which was the first one in three centuries. The Second Council dramatically changed the theology and some of the practices of the Roman Catholic Church. These are identified. How this council contributed to Fundamental Theology is discussed. Numerous concepts are explained such as communio, apostolic succession, ecumenism, charism, social justice, Lumen gentium, and other related topics.
