Improving Health of Employees

Healthier employees are happier, more satisfied, more loyal, have higher morale levels, and more productive than unhealthy employees. Given the soaring costs of health care these last several years, employers have taken different actions to reduce their costs. This paper discusses the option of implementing wellness programs and their benefits. This paper provides background information and statistics about obesity rates as well as rates for other things like hypertension. It offers some alternatives for improving the health of employees, selects an alternative and explains why that was selected. There are eight sources listed in the bibliography of this six page paper.
