Skinner's legacy is reinforcement. This theory has been applied in learning settings, such as schools, and also in counseling and therapeutic settings. He introduced a new way of thinking about behavior, one that considered only the behavior and the consequence. Intent, goals, nothing else mattered to Skinner except observable behavior.
